Williamson
Our
President has
a long list of duties, including writing the newsletter, helping with
all
committees, talking to parents, creating and maintaining the web site,
maintaining all goverment required paperwork, representing CHERUBS at
conferences
and much more.
Dawn
Williamson founded CHERUBS in 1995 after the birth of her son, Shane
Torrence, who was born with CDH in 1993.
In 1995 there was no other CDH organization, no information, no support
and no internet. Dawn went back to college in 1995 to
further her knowledge in Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia and holds a
4.0 GPA studying such subjects to help with CHERUBS as
Anatomy, Medical Terminology, Business, Public Speaking, Computer
Science and more.
Dawn
volunteers for CHERUBS over 40 hours per week while also working as a
professional web designer and graphic artist and taking care of her
husband and 2 sons, while trying to honor the memory of Shane, who
passed away in 1999.
